Using an Eircode can help

A Public Service Announcement is currently airing on RTÉ television and radio as a reminder that using your Eircode in an emergency situation can help the National Ambulance Service find you faster.

Throughout Ireland there are approximately 800,000 non-unique addresses, these are addresses that have no house name or number. Typically, these addresses are in rural locations and in the past getting to them has been a challenge with the caller often having to provide detailed and lengthy directions to get to a location. Providing an Eircode in addition to an address can help the Emergency Call Taker and Emergency Medical Dispatcher swiftly and accurately identify a caller’s location.

If you need assistance to find your Eircode you can contact us by email at hello@eircode.ie or by phone on 0818 300 005 or 01 901 2232 to speak to one of our team.
